Tuesday, March 12, 2002 10:00 AM (no subject) I am writing this because I am outraged...yet again..at what our government deems "fair"...this compensation for the heroes families of Sept 11th...& NOT giving gay & lesbian surviving partners & families money from the Sept 11th fund because they are NOT acknowledged by their states. Ahhh but, you can & ARE bending the rules to pay these funds to illegal aliens. Those who don't even belong legally in the country, yet you are using this "shield" of legal crap to deny those who DO belong here & who DO have citezenship. This country's government might still be viewed as the best by some..but, when it discriminates CONTINUALLY against gays & lesbians or those people or communities it doesn't "accept" I have to wonder. This news doesn't surprise me unfortunately...& perhaps THAT is the real shame. May you find a way to rest at night & pray that if you are ever in a life threatening situation, someone doesn't "discriminate" against you.
