Dear Mr. Zwick:
In response to the Department's request for public comments regarding the forthcoming regulations for implementing and administering the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund, I strongly urge the Department to draft regulations that will ensure compensation for ALL victims of this national disaster. This MUST include the committed partners and the non-biological children of gay and lesbian victims.
I am appalled that it is necessary for Americans to have to write this kind of letter to our government to be sure everyone is treated equally and that there is even any consideration given to the possibility that some Americans would be excluded for WHATEVER reason.
The terrorists did not exclude anyone from their actions!
