What if..........

To the people who think gays and lesbians don't matter.......

What if it was you mom or dad or sister or uncle or brother or aunt or
grandmom or grandad etc. who was killed in the 9/11 tragedy and they were gay
or lesbian.....how would you feel if someone you knew gave their life that
day and the days to follow.......and they were gay or lesbian. Here I
sit....... an out lesbian......Horrified that this good old USA is still
discriminating against us. Did you know that if every gay or lesbian person
would gather together on 1 day and stop whatever work they were
doing......the whole of your world would stop.... We are people just like
you....we laugh and cry and have needs.....just like you and your family and
friends. And I say that it's enough! We have faught for our country and
died without little or no recognition. Isn't it enough that you ridicule and
make fun and beat up and even kill......just because we are different. How
dare you take our taxes and donations without including us in the healing
process. I dare you to publish this letter.....to show it to congress and
then say no.....it's the law.....we can't help homosexusals who have died or
were maimed in the 9/11 disaster. I just wish that anyone who has ever
discriminated againsat us would only meet and be with us and see how we
really are.....no one would ever say no again.
