9-11 compensation fund


Why does the government, which is to serve the people, turn its back on homosexual couples who have built a life together? It sounds like a corollary of socialism: take from those who build and so you can give it to those you favor.

When will our government understand the meaning of a free market and free association? The older I get, the more I realize that the only difference between a "conservative" government and a "liberal" one is who it favors.

Those who lost their partners during 9-11 should be fairly compensated. It shouldn't be that hard for the government to assess economic inter- or co-dependence in such situations. To pretend otherwise is tragic.

Since there is a fund for this, I urge inclusion.
