911 Victim Compensation Funds

Dear Mr. Feinberg:
I am disturbed to hear about your ruling to disallow victim compensation funds to partners, children, & other family members of gay & lesbians who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Although many states do not legally recognize gay & lesbian relationships, your decision is both unethical & immoral given the events of that day. Particularly disturbing is the discrimation against children of gay & lesbian marriages. Those children are innocent victims of the terrorist attacks. I believe you are using this tragedy in a political way which should have no bearing on how the funds are used. You would be creating additional hardship & pain to the surviving families. As a donor to the 911 events, I intended my money to be used for all survivors & their families. Please reconsider your stance on this issue.
