I have been informed that the government is declining to aid the homosexual partners of victims who died in the Sept. 11 tragedies. This is simply an outrage to learn that the U.S. government has found yet another way to deny gay and lesbian people of the same rights as heterosexual people. Since the government is trying to show the nation and the rest of the world how patriotic we all are, I would suggest that it doesn't continue to participate in those activities that in effect actually divide the American people. I wouldn't call that being patriotic; I would call that being hypocritical. Please reconsider your stance on this issue.
