Zwick, Director Office of Management Programs, Civil Division U.S. Department of Justice Dear Mr. Zwick: I would like to give my comments regarding the implementing and administering of the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund. Evidently, some organizations do not consider the partners and children of gay and lesbian people to be victims of the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center. I think this way of thinking is evil and that you should ignore the pleas of those organizations who would like to see gays and lesbians suffer while others find comfort and financial assistance from the Fund. I personally have contributed a great deal to this fund and so have many of my gay and lesbian and straight friends. We would all be horrified to discover that the gay and lesbian partners and children of people killed in the attack would be deprived of the funds we contributed. Im sure you are a reasonable man and will make the right decision. My spouse, , and I will be watching as this situation unfolds and will make every effort to support your decision to include our gay and lesbian community in the distribution of these funds.
