It is time that we recognize that there are MANY types of families in this country, and that people can be productive, contributing American citizens AND be gay at the same time. I am ashamed that we still discriminate in this way in 2002. If there is any way this can be rectified, we owe it to the memory of these people to make sure that their loved ones are provided for.
