DEAR MR. FEINBERG,

I AM WRITTING TO YOU WIN COMPLETE DISAGREEMENT OF YOUR CHARTS. MY DAUGHTER
WORKED FOR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. SHE STARTED IN JUNE
OF 2000 RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE. I DON'T FULLY UNDERSATAND WHAT HER ECONOMIC
LOSS WOULD BE SINCE SHE DIDN'T WORK THERE FOR THREE YEARS. THE NON-ECONOMIC
LOSS AT 250,000 IS RIDICULOUS. I TAKE THAT AS AN INSULT. MY DAUGHTER WAS PART
OF MY LIFE THAT COULD NEVER BE REPLACED. SHE ALWAYS MADE US PROUD OF HER AND
ALL HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS. SHE ALWAYS SET HIGH STANDARDS FOR HERSELF AND WAS
GOING TO ACHEIVE WHATEVER SHE SET OUT TO DO. SHE WAS AN INSPIRATION TO HER
SISTER AND BROTHER. THEY LOOKED UP TO HER AND WERE VERY PROUD OF HER ALSO.
SHE LIFTED ME UP WHEN I WAS DOWN, SOMETHING ONLY SHE COULD DO. SHE HAD A
FIANCEE THAT IS DEVISTATED , HE AND WERE TOGETHER ALMOST 6 YEARS.
THEY WERE TO BE MARRIED THIS SUMMER IN 2002. THAT IS ALL LOST NOW . THE
GRANDCHILDREN THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN WON'T BE. THESE ARE DREAMS OF MOST
PARENTS. THE FACT THAT IMY HUSBAND WON'T WALK HER DOWN THE AISLE IS ALSO
UNBEARABLE TO HIM. SO 250,000 FOR PAIN AND SUFFERING , HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF
THAT WERE YOUR DAUGHTER? YOU ARE A LAWYER LEGALLY WHAT WOULD AN AWARD USUALLY
BE UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, LOSS OF LIFE?
GETTING BACK TO THE ECONOMIC LOSS HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD
HAVE BEEN MAKING IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS? HER BOSS WAS VERY PLEASED WITH HERE
WORK AND SHE HAD ALREADY MOVED TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT. HE USED TO TELL HER HE
KNEW HE GAVE HE ALOT TO HANDLE BUT SHE COULD HANDLE IT AND SHE WOULD BENEFIT
BY IT. SHE CAME HOME FROM WORK ON DAY AND SAID SHE NEW SHE WAS GOING TO
RECIEVE A GOOD RAISE THIS YEAR SHE HAD SPOKEN TO HER BOSS AND HE TOLD HER.
DOESN'T RAISES ALSO GO BY POTENTIAL AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND YOUR HARD WORK?
I'M SURE I SPEAK FOR MANY PEOPLE NOT ONLY MY FAMILY. I THINK THERE ARE MANY
THINGS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. ALSO THE COLATERAL OFFSETS
I DON'T SEE WHY INSURANCE MONIES NEED TO BE DEDUCTED, AREN'T THEY PAID FOR BY
THE COMPANY INCASE OF DEATH, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT THE
GOVERNMENT IS OFFERING? I FULLY AGREE WITH ON ALL THESE
ISSUES. I HOPE YOU WILL SEE THINGS OUR WAY AND CONSIDER A BETTER
COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE FAMILIES INVOLVED.
                                                                   SINCERELY,
Individual Comment
