He was 39 yrs old, taught at the . He made a conscious choice to jump in a patrol car through the Holland tunnel to respond at (9:15am). I received a cell phone call before he went in that he was NOT going to "just watch." He had to find a way out for others. The tower collapsed 90 minutes later. He saved thousands of lives. We have 6 children and he was an only child. His parents also depended on him financially. His body to date is NOT recovered. It is unjust & unfair to our entire family that you deduct his benefits from any award given for his great sacrifice. How many Billions of dollars & lives did he save the Government alone? Rescind the restrictions to deduct ANYTHING from any reward. You are actually making families chose to sue through this restriction.
