Friday, January 25, 2002 3:09 PM Citizen's comment Dear Sirs. As many American do, I feel very sorry and sad about the Sept 11 terrorists attack and that so many innocent Americans lost their lives. However I also believe that the government program to give millions to the families of the victims is a terrible policy and not appropriate. (min of $500,000 and max about $4,300,000--TAX FREE) Almost 3000 people lost their lives in the WTC that terrible day. However almost 6000 lose their lives every day in the USA. What the government give away program shows is how greedy some people can become. No matter what you do and no matter how much Congress decides to give, some people will complain and argue for more. What about all the other people who die in the USA every day and they receive no added compensation from the government.
