It is high time people got off their butts and did the RIGHT thing! Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals AND Transgendered people ALSO died in the Sept 11th tragedy. Their FAMILIES deserve to be considered and recompensed EQUALLY to those of straight Americans. Screw what the OLD laws say. MAKE NEW ONES! The old rules from way back discriminated against black people, women, and other minorities and they were ALL WRONG! SO are laws that discriminate against LGBT people! CLUE IN ALREADY! WHY is it you politicians ALWAYS take the cowards route and choose to discriminate rather than do the honorable thing? WHY!?!? Right now I am VERY proud to NOT BE an American of ANY type! I hope you smarten up damn quick... I GUARANTEE that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU has a relative, friend, AND coworker that fits into the LGBT spectrum. I sincerely hope that you get off your collective asses and do the right thing, include LGBT people while you can still look those same friends, family and coworkers in the eyes! Don't let those who use the bible as a WEAPON to harm LGBT people be the ones that dissuade you from doing the right & honourable thing.
