qualified categories for compensation

To Whom It May Concern:
As a concerned U.S. citizen, I urge, with the strongest possible feeling, the
United States Department of Justice to please include gays, lesbians,
bisexuals, and transgenders in the qualified categories to receive assistance
after the September 11th tragedy. This is no time to make moral or political
judgements on the righteousness of any particular way of living; regardless
of whether one is gay or straight, if an individual lost someone in this
disaster, they should be fairly and fully compensated, just like any other
family member. Please - as an American, a government employee, and a gay
person, I urge you to include all affected Americans who need assistance in
the relief fund. Please do not further discrimination in this sad and tragic
time when there is enough hate in the world already. Thank you.
