Victim Compensation
Sirs:
I have read the rules for compensation and generally agree that they have been prepared with a great deal of thought. I was not in favor of the compensation law to begin with, but now I can see it has a benefit to society as a whole,as well to the survivors of the victims.
I was mainly concerned about the validity of claims. It appears you have addressed that. Compensation should only go to those people who are lawful spouses and dependents of victims. Brothers,ex-spouses,"significant others" and various "shirttail relatives" not dependent on the victim so do not need to be compensated.
Sincerely,
Individual Comment
