Compensation issue
I just read an article that says the partners of gays and lesbians killed in
the events of September 11th will not receive the same compensation as the
married partners of heterosexual victims. The article went on to say that
even illegal aliens will receive benefits. Please tell me that this article
was incorrect. I cannot imagine that our country could be so cold-hearted
as to deny gay Americans comparable compensation for their loss.
