Fairness for all

Dear Mr. Zwick:

Many Americans lost their lives on September 11. Most of them left
behind loved ones. Some of these victims were members of gay and lesbian
families. I'm sure you will agree that their loss is no less devastating
than that of other families.

I urge the Department to draft and enact regulations that ensure
compensation is available and equitable to all victims of the attack,
including the committed partners and the non-biological children of gay
and lesbian victims.

Our pledge to the flag concludes, "freedom and justice for all," not
"freedom and justice for some." Demonstrate the justice and equality due
all the families of the victims of this assault.
