Wednesday, March 20, 2002 1:05 PM 9/11 discrimination I am both apalled and shocked that throughout this whole ordeal and the government pushes us to be united as one in this great tragedy and that we as a nation are still discriminating against people for with whom they share their lives with. The 9/11 fund for victims' families does not include the domestic partners of gays and lesbians. This is outragious! First the government has no right to base who gets compensated by factoring in who they were / are in love with. Second, I would like to think that in this day and age that we as Americans could look past what a person's personal life consists of and realize that a homosexual person is also as HUMAN as a heterosexual. These petty discriminations need to STOP if we are to be turely united in the spirt of being an AMERICAN.
