Compensation

To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing as a spouse of a victim of the September 11th WTC attack. Under
the proposed rules regarding the government's compensation fund, collateral
sources such as insurance policy proceeds are to be deducted. As a Mother of
4 small children, it does not seem fair for the government to penalize those
of us who tried to be responsible in the event of the unthinkable happening
to our loved one. I strongly urge your department to rethink this policy so
as not to burden us further. I do hope that you will support me on this
matter.
