Tell us your story: i was sitting at home doing my laundry when I received a call from my mother in demarst nj, my father was on an american airlines flight out of new jersey, the flight left right after the doomed flight that hit one of the towers. he remembers being on the run way with the other jet before take off. we lost track of my fathers flight routed to chicago, i received a call from my sister crying about my fathers safty, little did she know that her pain was just beginng. she is from manalapan nj , one of the hardest hit areas in nj. my nieces friends lost parents, my sister lost frinds, soccer coaches and her feelings of security. my father was found safe, rerouted to another town. he rented a car and made it back home saftly to nj. for me , my sence of safty will never be the same because i lived through the oklahoma city bombing, my husband is a doctor here in okc and he was on standby at the hospital. the pain we lived through that day was hard to leave behind with so many lives lost but to relive it again in an area that i grew up in is like adding salt to the wound. there is a lot of evil in the world but not as much evil as there is love, i have seen it in both places. people are beautiful. we have proven that we can make this world a better place. the little things in life are to be appreciated , family is most imporant and living with grace and helping others, the best medicine, im proud of both oklahoma city and new ork for their examples to the world of courage, strength ,unity and grace. may we all in the world go forth with such grace and dignity and then this world just might stand a chance.
