Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My son, Matt, had just started his freshman year at Columbia University. He e-mailed us with an exciting, but scary story. He had been asleep in bed when one of the other kids on the floor came in and said something happened at the WTC. Matt jumped out of bed, threw on some clothes, and got a train downtown. He was able to get about 10 blocks from the WTC just as the 1st tower collapsed. He tried to get closer,but was told to turn around and go back by the police. He was covered with dust when he arrived back at school, just after the collapse of the second tower. He said it was the most amazing thing he'd ever witnessed. He spent many Saturdays over the past year,walking thru the area, making friends with the clean up crews, hoping to get a piece of the rubble in rememberance.
