911DA Story: Story
I was like many other Americans, at my job. One lady who works in the same place, told me that the world trade center, and the pentagon were attacked. I knew the World Trade Center had been attacked before, but I could not believe it was possbile for anyone to attack the Pentagon. I work in a retail store, and alot of the customers were coming in and telling me, and my co-workers what was going on on the outside. Then my thoughts went to my step-daughter, who with her boyfriend was on vacation in Italy. The people at the hotel were very kind to them, and even furnished them with a television which translated into English. They spent the rest of their vacation trying to make arrangements to get back into the United States. The very freedoms which we all take for granted. At 53 years old I have lost some of the innocence which I still possessed. I no longer can think that this sort of thing does not happen in the United States. I am sure that I am not alone in this. We must never take our way of life, and freedom for granted.
