Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was in school when I heard about the atrocity that had occured on September 11th. When I came home to my house. It was a very morbid atmosphere. My parents were shocked, just like the rest of the nation. To get away from everything that was happening I decided to go to the park and mull things over. Everybody there was talking about what had happened. The perfect horror story had now been portrayed, not by Steven Spielberg, But by Osama bin Laden. That day did not get any better for me. I decided to ride my friends bike around the basketball courts. As I was riding it i hit a rock and flew over the handle bars. Imiediatley i knew that i had broke my wrist. The pain was something i had never felt before.I then did something very stupid. I knew that my wrist was broken but i decided i could still play a pickup basketball game with the people at the park. This is were i realized the seriouisness of the injury. I went home and my dad took me to the hospital. After wer got there we found out that my left radius had been shattered. I can clearley remember the melancholy seen of President Bush adressing the nation, While I was in a hospital bed. I was horified on that day. The biggest change September 11th has caused in my life is that i now have a greater apreciation of being an American. Before 9/11 I took living in this land of oppourtunity for granted. September 11th made me realize that the U.S is vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Before, I believed that this country was untouchable. The attacks that happened on September 11th caused me to be more aware of what is happening in the world now. I thought that America was king and that nobody would dare attack it. I think that the Al Queda network succeeded in there attacks. They succeeded in causing doubt and pain to the people. The succeeded in causing the stocks to fall. And most importantley they succeeded in uniting a country. Race, Religon, And politics didn't matter on that day. All that matters was that the United States was truely united.
