Howard Stern was jabbering away about a plane flying into the World Trade Center, I wasn't sure if it was a repeat of an earlier show. When I got to school, I was headed to Pre-Calculus when some people were talking about a plane crashing into the Pentagon. I dismissed the thought entirely, because I thought for sure that area was protected by surface to air missles. Someone else said someone blew up a bomb at the FAA center in Leesburg. I took my test, drove home and noticed by parents were both there, and they were watching the TV.
It was an unreal feeling. I felt like I was in some disaster flick where the entire nation is under attack by hostile forces. Black smoke billowing from the World Trade Center. A plane crashing into the World Trade Center. A beautiful, clear blue sky.
