I woke up at 10 am on Sept. 11, 2001 and got ready to make the first design of the George W Bush 2000 Stolen Election Commemorative Coin as I wanted to channel my frustration with the theft of the 2000 election into a coin. I turned on my computer to begin designing the coin and I brought up my web browser to search for coin designs and photos and browsed the web and saw the stark headlines "Twin Towers Leveled to rubble". I found it shocking to learn the news and hoped that recovery of people could get done. As the day passed on I learned that close to 3000 people might have died in the towers and the pentagon.
