Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: The morning of september 11th started like any other school day. I was in my junior year gym class first period.I remember feeling like things just weren't right. Shortly after the start of my second period spanish class there was noise in the hall and a teacher interupted our class insisting that we turn on the tv because there had been an accident and the world trade towers had been struck by a plain. At first i didn't think that it would be a terrorist attack.I thought maybe there was a malfunction with the plains engine. I didn't think anyone could be capable of premeditating something so aweful. The class didn't seem to take it seriouisly at first people were telling jokes and laughing and I guess it just haden't hit them yet how real the situation was. When we watched in horror as the second plain hit the second tower the class was quiet and one of the guys in our class started to cry because his sister was in college in New York City. To see one of my male piers break down and cry was when i realized how real this really was. I kept thinking we were in a war movie and that all of this couldn't be true. Then came the news of the pentagon. It was unending. The rest of our classes when on as scheduled and teachers handled the events in their own way many had open discussion others chose to go on with normal classes. I just remember wanting to be there New York is only two hours away from where I live and i just felt like i needed to go and be there that maybe i could find someone in the rubble. When i came home after school was the first time i heard about the plain that crashed in Pennsylvania. I was so close to everything but still so helpless. Our tv at home was turned on all day for the following weeks watching the news. I didn't understand when I found out that they were stopping search for life and only cleaning up. How could there be no life left. Looking back on the events of that day, how people reacted, and the patriotism everyone showed for our country i believe that the terrorists only made us stronger. I think that they opened our eyes to how great America is and how blessed we really are.
