It blows my mind how an entire year has gone by and yet I am in shock all over again watching the news. I'll never in my life forget the fear that went through me when a friend called and asked if I was watching the news. I was sitting at home with, at the time, my one year old. The first plane had already hit and I was just trying to make out what was going on. Then it seemed every time I blinked my eyes another plane was crashing. I started thinking how we had just put my mother on a plane a day before. As horrible as it was to watch, I felt as though I was glued to the television. Minutes earler I was watching Rugrats with my son and now thinking "what next?".
I'm not sure anyone could've been prepared for what was to come.
