On that day, I turned on the TV when I came down to make coffee as usual. It was approximately 8:05. I knew instantly that something was wrong. I sat down and saw the second plane fly into the building. At first I thought it was an accident, that something was wrong with the plane, but it wasn't long before the details became clear. I started crying and couldn't stop. I thought it was only the beginning of many more attacks and I didn't know where to go. I called my brother who is a retired army pilot and he talked to me to assure me that I was not in danger at that time. I avoid going downtown Chicago and I have not been so worried about our country since President Kennedy was assinated.
