Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I am a 5th grade teacher in the Catholic school system. I didn't hear of the attacks until 11:00 A.M. I didn't have my classroom set on and was at school at the time. At first I was shocked and almost came to tear. My stomach just sunk. Then I thought of my students and how I would tell them. That thought gave me strength to turn and go back into my classroom. Right before lunch, I told them and we discussed it some. While they were at lunch, I turned on the set and got as much information as I could to share with them. I was very straight-forward with the class. That is the type of teacher and person I am. I also thought of my father and how he must have felt when he heard about Pearl Harbor. I was never afraid because I have faith in God and Country. I also needed to be there for my students. As the year has passed I have prayed for all the victims and there families. I have realized how important one's own family is. I also know that we all must go on with our lives and live the best way we can because if we do not, then the terrorists have won and the deaths are all in vain.
