Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I remeber 09-11-01 vividly. I was getting ready for work when the first plane struck. And as I was driving to work, I heard that another had struck. What I felt was a mixture of disbelief,, shock and fear. I wondered how could this happen? Why us? Arn't we good people? How can others view us as evil? We are a kind nation full of kind caring people. How could this happen? I thought of other countries, countries that have been living with terrorism for so so long. Why is this allowed to happen? Before 9/11, I would read and hear of other countries troubles and feel bad for them. But it was a different world from mine. Why did it take this to happen to my country for me to feel genuine compassion for others who have been living this for years? My disbelief,shock and fear turned to questions. I question myself? And finally, I am angry. How could this happen to my country?? MY COUNTRY???? I'm saddened. I don't believe the saddness will ever go away. All the people murdered. All the people hurt. All the people living with pain. MY family,,,,, your family. Are we safe? Are our children safe? What's in their future? Is war the answer? Is there an answer. I pray. I pray not only for all Americans,, but for all people. This is my country. I love my country. I really realize now how lucky I am to be an American. I have faith that every other American feels the same way. We will heal,,, we will survive. We ARE a country of good people!!! We will work together, and we will not let this ruin us. We will be stonger in spite of the terrible wrong thrown at us. My heartfelt sympathy to those lost, and to their loved ones. My heartfelt gratitude to those who protect us every day.
