On September 11, 2001 I was at Orange Hunt Elementry School. I was in Mrs. Gordan's classroom when I noticed the teachers all started talking to eachother and looked like they were worried about something. They all were talking on thier walkie talkies until my principle walked in our classroom. All the 6th grade classes came into our class room and she sat down and tried to explain to us what had happend. Since I was only 11 years old I didn't know what the World Trade Center was. I thought it was and airport because they said a plane had crashed into it. I could only imagine planes in airports, or in the sky. I could'nt imagine a plane going through a building. Kids kept leaving the classes when there parents came to pick them up. They put in a movie to keep us occupied until we either got picked up, or school ended. We were to young to have any idea what was was going on. When I got home from school my Dad was on the couch watching TV. Which was weird cause he never came home early. I asked what he was watching and he tried to explain what was happening. It was scary to see a plane going through a building. That same day my Grandmother, Grandfather, and my two Aunts were on a plane going to California. They fortuantly we're on of the planes that got highjaked, even though they did take off from D.C. I remember a few days before my grandparents were talking about the day they got there tickets, i've always been scared of planes, but they told me about thier flight I figuerd nothing would happen, cause nothing ever does. Except for that day, something did happen.
