911DA Story: Story
What I witnessed on September 11 was from television. I saw the plane going through the building. Everyone was scared. When I saw this, I was just hoping that everyone got out safe. But I guess that didn?t happen. If I were up in there, I would try to find some way to get out. Even if I were very injured, I would rather be injured than die up there.
Something I will remember is everyone trying to run away. Some people were brave and tried to go up into the buildings to save people that were stuck up there. I don?t know what we would do if there were no police or firefighters.
Life has changed in so many different ways. Airports are different now because it takes longer to go through the airport because they check everything you have very carefully. It can take up to an hour or two to get through security, but it will save lives.
My house has changed by I can?t go anyplace without my mom knowing where I am. I have to go straight home after school. When I go places with my friends, I have to call her to let her know where I am.
I think that all the things about September 11 should be remembered. I think that what really should be remembered is when it happened, and how people were brave to save other people.
There is a lot of information on the news about who did it. I think that we should continue to look for who did it, and punish them for what they did. You just can?t fly a plane through a building and get away with it. This is America. We are free here.
Before September 11th happened, we did not fly an American flag on our house. Since the attacks, we have flown a flag every day. I also think that you should decorate your whole house in flags because this is your life we are talking about. I used to think that the American flag was just a flag. Now I know that the flag really means something to me.
