when the tvs came on we all thought that it was a fluke but when we saw the second bulding get hit we knew it wasn't we sat and watched on tv thousands of people die . this day has forever changed my life in many ways . i will never look at the flag or listen to the star spangled banner the same ever again. they have a special meaning now that none of us who lived to watch this horrible event unfold should ever forget. today i was asked what i would tell my children as they learned about this in school in later years of there life and all i could reply was that i hope they never have to live through it . there is no way to desribe the feelings and emotions the fears the prayers and the hope that came from 9-11-01. lets just hope that this is something our country can grow and learn from so that the lives lost were not wasted.
