911DA Story: Story

On the eleventh of September, I woke up at about six thirty in the morning. I took a shower, got dressed and walked in to the kitchen for some breakfast. My dad was ready to leave for his office, when he suddenly recieved a phone call on his cell phone. I picked up the phone and answered it. It was our store manager. He wanted to speak to my dad so I passed the phone over to him. Since the manager just had opened the store, I thought about what could have been so urgent this early in the morning. In my mind, I began to worry if something bad happened. Was there something stolen? If so, why didn't the security alarm go off? I looked over at my dad's face, he was shocked, angry, and seemed to be sad. He ran over to the family room, where he turned our big screen on. He told me to put the new on and so I did changed the channel to CNN. That is when I discovered what had happened. My mom, dad and I watched their report in shock and deep sorrow. I personally felt like crying for all of the innocent victims caught inside the twin towers. On the way to school, my dad told me that he was planning a trip for our family in the upcoming winter vacation to New York. He told me that when I two years old, he held me in his arms standing nearly at the highest level in one of the twin towers. He then said that it would never be possible to see the entire city from that height again.
