Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I awoke to a frantic phone call from a friend of mine. He was me telling that America was being attacked by someone. A plane just hit the World Trade Center, turn on CNN. I turned on the TV and was in a state of total shock. I couldn't believe it when the second plane hit the 2nd tower. Then the pentagon and oh my God they have another? Then the news it was headed for Washington, but it crashed in PA. No one survived. I was immediately on the phone to my friend in Colorado, one of many long distance calls that day. Once I had my 14 year old son ready to go off to school I decided that he was to stay home close to me, where I wanted him, where he would have a history lesson he would never forget! I am not a religious woman, but I am deeply spiritual. My son and I had a prayer circle with another friend of mine that day. We sat in the middle of my living room holding each other, crying, with the door open, the TV blaring and we prayed to God for comfort for our country and guidance for our leaders! Then I got active and called to volunteer my services at our local Red Cross and Blood Bank. I felt better for doing at least a little bit. September 11, 2001 was a day I cried a soul breaking cry. Today, September 11, 2002 I cried a soul breaking cry. But, today I am sad and determined, not terrified... THEY LOST!!! THEY DID NOT BREAK ME OR MY COURAGEOUS SPIRIT. I HOPE THEY DID NOT BREAK YOU!
