My name is Tina. I have a sister that works in the pentagon. She was a few hundred feet from the blaze. Just the day before, she had not finished writing her transcripts for her secretary job. She had decided that she would finish them in the morning. Had she finished them the day before, she would have been walking through the corridor where the plane hit. There was a guardian angel watching over her that day. I a few days before that had just realized that I was pregnant. I now look back and no longer take things for granted. There are a lot of children out there that are now without a mother or a father. I guess that day I can say that my family was fortunate enough to not have to live without a person we hold so dear to us. I want to say thank you to all those who helped save lives, and to all the brave people who risked their lives for others. That is what our country is about, lending a hand when others are in need. I could not imagine what those families are going through, I just thank god that I am not in their shoes. May god bless all those families that have been hurt by this tragedy, and know that you are in our prayers.
