I was woken up by a someone in my living room shouting "Oh my God, turn on the t.v." I spent the next few hours watching the news. I saw the second plane hit the tower as it was happening. I couldnt believe what I was seeing. I mean, how could anyone do this? All those innocent people. It didnt seem real, sometimes it still doesnt. Even a year later its still fresh in everyones mind. I had to go to work that day and do my job. But it was difficult. I just tried to focus on work. I wasnt in NY, I cant imagine what it was like. I didnt know anyone personally that died that day, but after hearing others stories and watching the footage, I feel like I do. I just wanted to tell everyone how proud I am of them. How proud I am that everyone came together that day to help one another. How proud I am for all the people who gave their lives to save someone else. How proud I am of the families that lost loved ones or friends for their strength. And how proud I am to be an American, to be a part of this wonderful country.
