I remember ?it? quite well and I will never forget it. I remember when ?it? all started. I was sleeping in my room. I heard my mom scream. So I got up and started to run down the stairs. Then my mom said, ?Oh my god?. I got to her and said, ?What happened? What?s wrong?? My mom said that there was a terrorist on a plane that had just hit the World Trade Center. The World Trade Center is where the United States and other countries financial headquarters are located. I was home because I was sick. My mom went to work and told me to keep it on that channel and call her if something else went wrong. So I told her I would. Something did go wrong. I watched for about twenty more minutes and the second plane hit the second tower. I was in total shock because I had just realized that one of my relatives was working in the World Trade Center. I was sick of the commentator rambling on about things that she didn?t even know about. I turned it to NBC Today. All they did was show the ?Towers?. I watched for an hour and the second tower began to fall. After it fell my brother had called to see if we were okay. Then my cousin called. I asked if she was okay. She said yes and that she was sick today so she didn?t go to work. She was the one that worked in the World Trade Tower. I called my mom and told her the good news. She didn?t talk much because she was watching the news at the restaurant. She was stuck to the television. She probably forgot that I was on the phone as I was still watching the news and the newscaster started to talk. I watched for a little while as the first tower came crashing down. I was thinking about all the people that died in the plane crash. Then it hit me, what about all the people that died in the collapse of the towers? When my step dad got home I wondered if he had heard what was going on. He said yes and that?s why he came home so early. Then we sat down and watched the Ground-Zero site. They were just starting to talk about the Pentagon. The Pentagon had also been hit with an aircraft. I asked myself, ?What kind of people would do this?. The announcers then said terrorism. I asked what do terrorists have to do with this? I don?t really think that the people were from the United States. Then I heard them say this terrorist could be associated with the people in Afghanistan. So I realized all the people in the United States are going to hate and kill all the people of Afghanistan. Come to find out it was only a group of people called the Taliban. Then the President of the United States, which is President Bush, said that the United States is going into war with the Taliban army. That means that they may have a draft and I might be going into the war, that is if it is over before I am eighteen years of age. That scares me because I might not see my family for the years I am in the service.
