I was sleeping when my husband called & told me of the 1st plane to hit the World Trade Centers. He was working @ a college in Columbus, OH. As we where talking & before I got the TV turned on the 2nd plane hit. I could not believe it. I can still see the image of that plane hitting, like most Americans do. I felt so alone. My two teenage children were at school & my parents were camping. I did get a hold of my mother on her cell phone & was telling her the horrible news when the Pentagon was hit. I remember pacing in my house. I felt the need to help someone. The need to be close to my family. What was happening?? It was a scarey time.
