911DA Story: Story

I was traveling on Interstate 55, just south of Springfield, Il. when I heard on the radio about the first plane hitting. I immediately called my nephew to see where Sharon was, his wife who is a flight attendant. By this point, Tony could tell I was upset, he said she is at home why? I told him what had happened and I think he thought that I was mistaken at first. He then realized that this was true as I was relaying what was coming across the radio. I felt helpless, knowing my children were 2 1/2 hours south in Salem where I live. I couldn't get home fast enough to them. But then I wondered just how big this tragedy could possibly be and the lives that were lost. I prayed a lot on the way, being a Christian gave me great strength. I pray the God will continue to give America the strength and guidance that we all need today, tomorrow and forever.
