As I drove to work that day, shortly after 8am, the am radio station I listened to relayed the national news. An almost disbelieving newscaster said that the 2nd jet airplane had hit the other World Trade Center Tower. I was in shock and hoped that maybe the employees had not been in the building yet, forgetting the time zone difference. It was a complete shock to learn the loss of life in that tragedy. A woman at work, who once lived in Long Island, told me her father once worked across from the World Trade Center. She had also hoped that no one was at work on that tragic day. The horror and tragedy of that day is one I will never forget.
