911DA Story: Story

Q: How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience.
A: Mrs. Morrison came to my 1st bell class. She told me to come to room 312. The T.V. was on and we watched the burning of the towers. Then we saw them crumble to the ground.

Q:Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so,tell us how.
A:I am more aware of the terrible things that can happen that are out of our control. We have a lot of freedoms that other countries don't have.

Q:What do you think should be remembered about September 11th.
A:We need to remember that along with the privileges and rights of living in this country, we have the responsibility to safeguard our freedom.

Q:Did you fly an American flag after the event of September 11th? Have your feelings about the flag changed as a result of September 11th?
A:Yes, our grandson Taylor insisted that we fly the flag over our garage. I think that it is important to display the flag, which is a symbol of our country.
