911DA Story: Story
Our day started out typical, getting my 2 daughters ready for school, saying good bye to my husband as he left for work, and opening up my home for my day care kids. Soon after my children left for the bus I turned on the news and saw what catastrophy had happened, no longer a typical day. All I could do was watch in horror, of everything that was happening. I never had such a helpless, miserable feeling before. The only thing I could be thankfull for was my family was safe. I could not leave the tv, no matter how terrible the news got, you just couldn't turn it off. I tried doing regular routines with my pre-schoolers, but even they could tell something was wrong. Then the victims families came on tv holding flyers and pictures of their loved ones missing. This was the most heart wrenching thing I've ever seen, all I could do was sit their and cry. To this day, the thing I remember most, are those poor people holding their pictures of their loved ones, who just went to work thinking it was a regular day.
