911DA Story: Story
I was twelve years old. Over the summer I'd just been in NYC, on the WTC. I was shocked as we were told.."The World Trade Centers have been bombed." 'Bombed? It'll be ok.' But was my teachers turned the TV on, we saw the smoke rising, then soon the collapse. Immediatly tears because to stream down my face as I didn't know what was happening. People were making fun of me, but was it so wrong to have emotion for those I didn't know? The most part that scared me was, what if it happened the day I was in there in June? But later that day my tears continued to stream, but I felt proud of America. Not knowing who'd done it at that time, I knew that whoever it was had been threatened by America, and that somehow made me feel proud that I lived in a democratic country, where I was bound by the government, telling me what I could and couldn't do.
