911DA Story: Story

We were just finishing up our vacation, and thought we would climb up castle rock and leave from there. As we enjoyed the beautiful view, we took pictures and thought what a beautiful country we have. As we got down the rock and went in to the gift store, we were told by the cashiers that two planes had hit the trade center, and the Pentagon. We were in total shock. We browsed the store quickly and thought we had better get home as quick as possible. As we were walking out the girls yelled to us that one of the buildings had just collapsed. It was the most eerie ride home, as we crossed the Mackinac bridge we were very nervous to say the least. Our ride home took us about 5 hours and in that time we hardly said a word to each other as we were in total shock! We listened to the radio all the way, and when we got home, we were not prepared to see the devastation of it all. It will be something we will never forget and hopefully not have to experience again. Our thoughts were with everyone that lost their loved ones.
