Tell us your story: On Sept 11, My two year old and I had been watching the news.This was rare event because you know how 2 year olds are, we usually watch the DISNEY channel. Anyhow the significane of this is that my beloved sister Lisa is a airline attendant for American Airlines, and she was scheduled to fly home on the flight from Washington to LAX Sept 11. Obviously the flight never made it to LAX, HOW EVER thank goodness she had spoken with my mom earlier and my mom advised against comming home at this time. Lisa is a single mother of Melissa 6 yrs and Allison 3yrs. My heart sank thinking I had lost my sister. The second thought I had was the fear of loss of my husband who is a commander in the National Guard and LAPD. This tragedy broke my heart. I feel empathy for those who lost loved ones.It could have been my sister or husband wasted to this tragedy. Life is not the same since that day for me and I cherish everyday. I also feel the fear and anger of this new unseen unpredictable terrism. Things wont be the same in America, I just feel the need to never forget how vulnerable, and precious our time on earth is.I pray for a better life for my nieces and son Maximillian.
