i was on my way to second block, and had heard speculations that there was some big attack, but i mean its high school, you dont know whats true and whats not. And right before the bell rang someone came over the announcements and said that something had happened, i was still half asleep. the only part of the announcmet i had heard was something about the twin towers, which i barely even knew where they were, and they said that there was an explosion there or something bad ahd happened. they said dont panic and i didnt because i didnt feel i needed to, but as i started walking towards my next class, i started thinking about how big and important they were, and my stomach started to slowly turn. as soon as i reached class a t.v was on and no one was talking. i just set my stuff down and started watching. i was in disarray. i could not believe what my eyes were seeing. but then my teacher turned the t.v off and made us start class. it was hard to concentrate on work when u knew what was happening. as the day went on, u were just praying that everyone would b safe. as soon as i got home my mom was watching the stuff on t.v and i joined her. i couldnt move after that. i couldnt think about anything else. it was like u couldnt take ur eyes off the t.v screen because u were in such fear. i dont think i have ever prayed as much as i did that day. i prayed that my family would be safe and that everyone else i knew would b safe.
