Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was in art class and our class was the second in the school to hear about it. We were second because the art class is next to the Tech. Ed. room and they ALWAYS have the news on in Tech. Ed.. I remember Mrs. Richmond (my art teacher) moving our class to the Tecch. Ed. room to watch the Twin Towers collapse. I had never heard of the Twin Towers before so it wasn't that big of a deal. I didn't know or understand what had happenned until people started breaking down and crying. Everything seemed so sureal and dark. My path seemed so uncertain. I was thinking "where do we go from here?" and "How do we go on with our lives not-knowing what ground we walk on?" I really didn't want to cry because I knew I wouldn't be able to stop. I held my breath so I wouldn't.I held it in soo long that I wasn't even there. When I let my breath out or tried to talk, I couldn't help but cry. Just imagine what it would be like to be on one of the top floors of that building on the screen. Knowing that you can't escape the pain. That you can't get down and safe from it all. Being afraid that you'll never see your loved-ones again. It's so agonizing. It's been a year and it still hurts to talk about. Today, my english teacher made us write about it. She asked if anyone would like to share thiers. As teared as I was, I volunteered and read aloud. The more I read, the more I wanted to cry. My voice got very cracked and tears strolled down my face. I dared not to look up because I knew everyone was stareing. Eventhough a bigger picture has been drawn, the little things still bother me. As a person I have grown, but as an AMERICAN I stay forever....... PATRIOTIC......
