911DA Story: Story

It began as a typical day, just as most days do. I was pregnant with my third child at the time. I woke up my daughter to get ready for school. We came down about 7:45am to eat breakfast. I had the television on wih cartoons on, as usual. The kids always watch cartoons before school. I remember watching the clock to see if it was 8:30 so that I could send my daughter out to the bus stop.
The phone rang and my sister said, "Kath, turn on the news something horrible happened to the twin towers." I flip on the news and there it was tower one with smoke coming out of it. To my surprise, another plane (which I thought was a replay of the first tower being hit) flew into the second tower. I shiver just thinking about it. There I sat, with my mouth open wide, knowing that the people in those buildings probably did not get out alive! Someones father, mother, daughter, and son.... Being pregnant it hit hard and I am not typically an emosional person.
By the time the second tower hit, we had missed the bus. After dropping my daughter to school, I headed straight to my sisters house. By this time the plain crashed in Pen. My mother, sister, and I shed many tears that day. I do not know anyone who died or survived that day but, we are all sisters and brothers especially that day. There is a song that is titled "Where were you the day the world stopped turning" (on that September Day). That is where I was. I can only wish this never repeats itself in history again...
Sincerely,
Kathy Krella
