911DA Story: Story
I was in my office in W. Springfield, MA planning a trip to New York on September 13. A group of salesmen and myself were planning to go to a packaging show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York and were coordinating our schedules to meet and attend this show. Then one of the salesmen called and said that a plane had crashed into the towers and he wasn't sure if he was going.
Of course after that the bridges and roads closed and no one got in or out of the city so the trip was cancelled.
For the rest of the week when we got home from work my husband and I could not break away from the news reports of the event. We sat on the couch every night and watched transfixed, unable to break away and continue with any semblance of a normal routine.
