911DA Story: Story
I may have been across the country at the time of the attacks but I felt as if I was right there. I am a caregiver for the elderly and my first impulse was how do I get to New York and help. I had to work that day and trying to keep myself together to comfort and reassure the people that I take care of was just about impossible. But the ironic thing was they were more worried about us. Every where that I went that day there was a television on and I felt that I couldn't get away from the images. I felt like my heart was being ripped out every time the news showed people jumping from the buildings because they knew they couldn't escape. I will never forget that day. My prayers are with everyone who lost a loved one. There really are no words that can truly express that day, just an imense pain that will never go away.
